Caption from Oceanus magazine, Vol. 54, No. 1, pg 14:
Every day as the sun begins to set, a massive, living wave of fish, squid, plankton, and other organisms begin their nightly passage from the dimly lit ocean twilight zone up toward the surface to feed. By daybreak, they head back to deeper, darker waters where they can more easily hide from predators.
