The team was preparing the ROV for a sunrise research dive as part of a Science Verification Cruise this past November aboard the new research vessel Sally Ride, sister ship to the R/V Neil Armstrong. Jason recently underwent an upgrade that substantially increased the ROV's capacity to carry scientific samples and instruments.
